INT. INDONESIA - AFTERNOON

Funny Student MUHAMMAD GUSTI FIKRI is arguing with witch student AYA BOUGHUM . GUSTI tries to hug BOUGHUM but she shakes him off.

GUSTI

Please Boughum, don't leave me.

BOUGHUM

I'm sorry Gusti, but I'm looking for somebody a bit more brave. Somebody who faces his fears head on, instead of running away.

GUSTI

I am such a person!

BOUGHUM frowns.

BOUGHUM

I'm sorry, Gusti. I just don't feel excited by this relationship anymore.

BOUGHUM leaves.

GUSTI sits down, looking defeated.

Moments later, pretty nope I DON'T KNOW barges in looking flustered.

GUSTI

Goodness, Don't! Is everything okay?

DON'T

I'm afraid not.

GUSTI

What is it? Don't keep me in suspense...

DON'T

It's ... a Zombie ... I saw an evil Zombie hit a bunch of children!

GUSTI

Defenseless children?

DON'T

Yes, defenseless children!

GUSTI

Bloomin' heck, Don't! We've got to do something.

DON'T

I agree, but I wouldn't know where to start.

GUSTI

You can start by telling me where this happened.

DON'T

DON'T fans himself and begins to wheeze.

GUSTI

Focus Don't, focus! Where did it happen?

DON'T

Algeria! That's right - Algeria!

GUSTI springs up and begins to run.

EXT. A ROAD - CONTINUOUS

GUSTI rushes along the street, followed by DON'T. They take a short cut through some back gardens, jumping fences along the way.

EXT. ALGERIA - SHORTLY AFTER

MULYADI an anger Zombie terrorises two children.

GUSTI, closely followed by DON'T, rushes towards MULYADI, but suddenly stops in his tracks.

DON'T

What is is? What's the matter?

GUSTI

That's not just any old Zombie, that's Mulyadi !

DON'T

Who's Mulyadi ?

GUSTI

Who's Mulyadi ? Who's Mulyadi ? Only the most anger Zombie in the universe!

DON'T

Blinkin' knickers, Gusti! We're going to need some help if we're going to stop the most anger Zombie in the universe!

GUSTI

You can say that again.

DON'T

GUSTI

I'm going to need Kar 98, lots of Kar 98.

Mulyadi turns and sees Gusti and Don't. He grins an evil grin.

MULYADI

Gusti Fikri, we meet again.

DON'T

You've met?

GUSTI

Yes. It was a long, long time ago...

EXT. A PARK - BACK IN TIME

A young GUSTI is sitting in a park listening to some Hardstyle music, when suddenly a dark shadow casts over him.

He looks up and sees MULYADI. He takes off his headphones.

MULYADI

Would you like some chocolate?

GUSTI's eyes light up, but then he studies MULYADI more closely, and looks uneasy.

GUSTI

I don't know, you look kind of anger.

MULYADI

Me? No. I'm not anger. I'm the least anger Zombie in the world.

GUSTI

Wait, you're a Zombie?

GUSTI runs away, screaming.

EXT. ALGERIA - PRESENT DAY

MULYADI

You were a coward then, and you are a coward now.

DON'T

(To GUSTI) You ran away?

GUSTI

(To DON'T) I was a young child. What was I supposed to do?

GUSTI turns to MULYADI.

GUSTI

I may have run away from you then, but I won't run away this time!

GUSTI runs away.

He turns back and shouts.

GUSTI

I mean, I am running away, but I'll be back - with Kar 98.

MULYADI

I'm not scared of you.

GUSTI

You should be.

EXT. ALGERIA - LATER THAT DAY

GUSTI and DON'T walk around searching for something.

GUSTI

I feel sure I left my Kar 98 somewhere around here.

DON'T

Are you sure? It does seem like an odd place to keep deadly Kar 98.

GUSTI

You know nothing Don't know.

DON'T

We've been searching for ages. I really don't think they're here.

Suddenly, MULYADI appears, holding a pair of Kar 98.

MULYADI

Looking for something?

DON'T

Crikey, Gusti, he's got your Kar 98.

GUSTI

Tell me something I don't already know!

DON'T

The earth's circumference at the equator is about 40,075 km.

GUSTI

I know that already!

DON'T

Sausages.

MULYADI

(appalled) Dude!

While MULYADI is looking at DON'T with disgust, GUSTI lunges forward and grabs his deadly Kar 98. He wields them, triumphantly.

GUSTI

Prepare to die, you anger potato!

MULYADI

No please! All I did was hit a bunch of children!

BOUGHUM enters, unseen by any of the others.

GUSTI

I cannot tolerate that kind of behaviour! Those children were defenceless! Well now they have a defender - and that's me! Gusti Fikri defender of innocent children.

MULYADI

Don't hurt me! Please!

GUSTI

Give me one good reason why I shouldn't use these Kar 98 on you right away!

MULYADI

Because Gusti, I am your father.

GUSTI looks stunned for a few moments, but then collects himself.

GUSTI

No you're not!

MULYADI

Ah well, it had to be worth a try.

MULYADI tries to grab the Kar 98 but GUSTI dodges out of the way.

GUSTI

Who's the daddy now? Huh? Huh?

Unexpectedly, MULYADI slumps to the ground.

DON'T

Did he just faint?

GUSTI

I think so. Well that's disappointing. I was rather hoping for a more dramatic conclusion, involving my deadly Kar 98.

GUSTI crouches over MULYADI's body.

DON'T

Be careful, Gusti. It could be a trick.

GUSTI

No, it's not a trick. It appears that... It would seem... Mulyadi is dead!

GUSTI

What?

GUSTI

Yes, it appears that I scared him to death.

DON'T claps his hands.

DON'T

So your Kar 98 did save the day, after all.

BOUGHUM steps forward.

BOUGHUM

Is it true? Did you kill the anger Zombie?

GUSTI

Boughum how long have you been...?

BOUGHUM puts her arm around GUSTI.

BOUGHUM

Long enough.

GUSTI

Then you saw it for yourself. I killed Mulyadi .

BOUGHUM

Then the children are safe?

GUSTI

It does seem that way!

A crowd of vulnerable children enter, looking relived.

BOUGHUM

You are their hero.

The children bow to GUSTI.

GUSTI

There is no need to bow to me. I seek no worship. The knowledge that Mulyadi will never hit children ever again, is enough for me.

BOUGHUM

You are humble as well as brave!

One of the children passes GUSTI a gold ring

BOUGHUM

I think they want you to have it, as a symbol of their gratitude.

GUSTI

I couldn't possibly.

Pause.

GUSTI

Well, if you insist.

GUSTI takes the ring.

GUSTI

Thank you.

The children bow their heads once more, and leave.

GUSTI turns to BOUGHUM.

GUSTI

Does this mean you want me back?

BOUGHUM

Oh, Gusti, of course I want you back!

GUSTI smiles for a few seconds, but then looks defiant.

GUSTI

Well you can't have me.

BOUGHUM

WHAT?

GUSTI

You had no faith in me. You had to see my scare a Zombie to death before you would believe in me. I don't want a lover like that.

BOUGHUM

But...

GUSTI

Please leave. I want to spend time with the one person who stayed with me through thick and thin - my best friend, Don't.

DON'T grins.

BOUGHUM

But...

DON'T

You heard the gentleman. Now be off with you. Skidaddle! Shoo!

BOUGHUM

Gusti?

GUSTI

I'm sorry Boughum, but I think you should skidaddle.

BOUGHUM leaves.

DON'T turns to GUSTI.

DON'T

Did you mean that? You know ... that I'm your best friend?

GUSTI

Of course you are!

The two walk off arm in arm.

Suddenly DON'T stops.

DON'T

When I said Sausages, you know I was just trying to distract the Zombie don't you?
